About the Opportunity

Due to an exciting growth period, NettZero now has an opportunity for an experienced Sustainability Consultant to join their busy team in Sydney on a full-time basis.  NettZero are expanding the Sustainability Services they offer to the Built Environment and are looking for a professional who with experience with a range of sustainability services including Green Star Performance Assessments, Energy Auditing, NABERS Improvement Plan and Section J as well as providing NABERS & BEEC Accredited Assessments.

NettZero deliver these services across the commercial and retail sectors nationally, however this role will primarily focused on commercial office buildings and shopping centres in the Sydney CBD area and throughout NSW.

Some of your day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering projects across the commercial and retail sectors in a quality, cost effective and efficient manner;
  • Liaising with Facility Managers/Building Managers to gather information required for the Assessments;
  • Conducting building site inspections
  • Communicating project updates effectively with clients on a local and national level; and
  • Conducting CBD Tenancy Lighting Assessments, Energy Audits, NABERS Ratings and Greenstar Performance Ratings as required.

To be successful in this role you will experienced in Green Star Performance Assessments and be a NABERS and CBD Accredited, with previous experience delivering the above services in a commercial or retail environment. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Property and/or Sustainability.

As this is a fairly autonomous role within a Team environment you will need to be comfortable prioritising your workload to ensure all deadlines are met.  As an analytical thinker, you will also be able to analyse and read situations well and continually find creative ways to overcome challenges or obstacles.

This position would be well suited to someone with strong attention to detail, from either a property or engineering background, who has a genuine interest in sustainability services and wants to work as part of a motivated team.
