Simon Barnes has joined Arup as façade design leader in its Melbourne façades team.
Mr Barnes has more than 18 years of multidisciplinary and architectural design experience, working previously with BG&E Façade Consultants and Arup in London.
He has been involved with high profile projects including phase one of the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne redevelopment, 171 Collins Street Melbourne and a new premium residential tower at 35 Spring Street. He also led the façade design team on the $2 billion Fiona Stanley Hospital in Western Australia.
Internationally, Mr Barnes has been involved on the award-winning Kings Place in London and the Zaragoza Bridge Pavilion by Zaha Hadid in Spain.
