RICS chair Richard Stacey; Kaye Herald, RICS former MD at a farewell celebration

13 June 2014 — A farewell for Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors managing director Kaye Herald was held last month at a private function room in the Westfield Centre in Sydney.

Ms Herald will be succeeded by Peter Nolan in the role of RICS Oceania director, but the position of MD of the Asia Pacific Business Unit is still to be filled.

Ms Herald joined RICS in 2005 leading RICS development in Australia and New Zealand, and more recently across Asia Pacific.

She was appointed in the role in 2005 after four years as chief executive officer of Urbis. Other roles have been with financial advisory firm Pinn Deavin and in national and state general management positions with TNT Australia, TNT Logistics, TNT Airfreight and Linfox.

Ms Herald is also a director of LGK Management and during her tenure at RICS was appointed to the executive of the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council, and was on the RICS Valuers’ Round Table.

Among awards she has notched up are the Chief Executive Women’s Scholarship for the Macquarie University Advanced Management Program and nominations for the Bulletin Business Woman of the Year, and the International Women’s Federation of Industry and Commerce Business Woman of the Year.

Peter Nolan

Mr Nolan was previously director, Sustainable Industries Education Centre for TAFE based in South Australia, and was previously chief executive of the Civil Contractors Federation SA Branch.
