Cressida Wall will join the Property Council as its new Victorian executive director, commencing 12 September.
Ms Wall is replacing Sally Capp, who resigned when elected Lord Mayor of Melbourne.
Ms Wall has provided advice about infrastructure policy and major projects to premiers and ministers for nearly 20 years. This includes five years as an economic adviser to the Bracks and Brumby governments. She has also practised as a commercial litigator and founded a private equity company.
To take up the new role with the Property Council, she has resigned from the Office of Projects Victoria board.
“Melbourne is Australia’s fastest growing city and it’s never been more important to ensure the policies shaping Victoria are the right ones,” Ms Wall said.
“I look forward to working with policy makers across the spectrum and fiercely advocating for outcomes that work for the whole community.”
