Planet Ark has hired four new staff to promote new and existing campaigns, and increase capacity in the digital space.
Simone Horder has joined as Planet Ark’s new National Tree Day manager. Ms Horder has already spent 12 years working on the initiative at National Tree Day’s corporate sponsor Toyota, and has a combined 15 years of marketing and events experience in agency and corporate settings.
Janelle Hatch joins as support officer for National Tree Day. She has a background in fashion design and retail.
Alejandra Laclette will manage and promote the Australasian Recycling Label Program, and has over five years’ experience in overseeing corporate sustainability programs.
Sarah Thompson is the new communications manager, and has served as senior media advisor for the Climate Council. The new position is part of a strategy to grow the organisation’s digital following and reach more diverse audiences.
“The combined corporate and agency backgrounds of our recent recruits are a dynamic blend that will perfectly complement our existing team. I am excited to have them help drive our activities in 2018,” Planet Ark deputy chief executive Rebecca Gilling said.
“At Planet Ark we are dedicated to helping Australians better connect with nature and use resources more sustainably. We are delighted to welcome Sarah, Simone, Janelle and Alejandra to our team, and to have them strengthen our ability to reach audiences of diverse backgrounds across a broad range of platforms.”
