Muswellbrook Shire Council on NSW’s Central Coast is looking for a full-time Coordinator Sustainability to establish a clear agenda for environmental sustainability outcomes in Muswellbrook Shire based on community engagement and stakeholder consultation, for endorsement by council. Following adoption of a strategy, the coordinator will build a team of competent professionals to ensure the council achieves its goals and aspirations across water quality and use management; waste minimisation; energy efficiency; conservation and land care facilitation; and council and community based sustainability projects.

The Commissioner maintains oversight of the health of the ACT’s environment and tracks the progress of environment and sustainability initiatives. The Commissioner authors the state of the environment reports; investigates complaints concerning environmental management; and undertakes an advocacy and awareness role.
