This is an exciting opportunity to join the Office of the Victorian Government Architect (OVGA) and foster innovation in Victoria’s housing to be better designed, affordable and sustainable.
The Senior Adviser is responsible for leading the delivery of specific OVGA advice, policy and projects that improve the quality of outcomes for government projects generally, with particular focus on medium to higher density housing. The successful candidate will support the OVGA to advocate and drive for a whole of government approach in the delivery of high quality design outcomes as well as enhance the OVGA’s expertise, capacity and understanding of current issues in housing, with the capability to offer advice, advocacy and discuss innovation.
Strong stakeholder management coupled with advanced planning and organisational skills are key to success in this role. Qualifications and experience in architecture with particular experience in medium to higher density housing is required.
Out of hours work may be required, including occasional evening, weekend work and overnight travel.
