Nick Cobham

AMP Capital has appointed Nick Cobham as portfolio manager of the AMP Capital Property New Zealand portfolio.

Cobham will be responsible for delivering the strategy, growth and investment performance of the NZ$1 billion portfolio, which includes office, industrial, retail and development properties.

AMP Capital head of property funds management Chris Judd said Mr Cobham would commence his new role in late November and that he was delighted to welcome such a respected property professional to the AMP Capital Property business.

“Nick is a highly experienced fund manager, who has worked in property and property funds management for more than 20 years,” Mr Judd said. “A respected industry leader, Nick is a very capable and innovative portfolio manager with a track record of delivering compelling investment opportunities and consistent investment returns over the long term.”

Mr Cobham has been joint general manager of listed specialised industrial property investment company Property for Industry Limited for the last four years. Previous roles have included development manager for McDougall Reidy & Co Ltd and Auckland manager for Capital Properties New Zealand Limited, which was taken over by AMP Capital in 2006 and many of the assets transferred to the AMP Capital Property Portfolio.

Mr Cobham joins another recent senior hire with Jonathan Armstrong appointed as divisional asset manager – retail in the NZ property team.
