Frasers Property Group general manager residential Tony Perrin has been announced as the new president of the Property Council’s WA division.
Mr Perrin has 25 years experience in property development, including residential, mixed use, retail, commercial and industrial projects.
Property Council WA executive director Lino Iacomella said the council was delighted to have Mr Perrin on board as its new state president.
“Tony’s broad experience with leadership in all facets of the industry will greatly assist the Property Council’s activities,” Mr Iacomella said.
Mr Perrin said he was honoured to have been elected president.
“In the next two years, I see tax reform and infrastructure investment with non-discriminatory funding models as key priorities, along with growing greater appreciation within government and the community of the many people and industries that rely on both local and offshore investment,” he said.
“Property will continue to grow businesses and drive economic prosperity in our state.”
Mr Perrin also said he would like to see more of a focus on gender equality.
“During my time as president I am keen to see the industry become an interesting option for young women thinking of careers paths, along with continuing reform that enables our industry to create inspiring projects which foster attraction and interest for existing residents of Perth and those traveling to our city,” he said.
Mr Perrin replaces outgoing president Chris Palandri.
