Chief executive of Consult Australia Megan Motto has been appointed to the board of Standards Australia, along with City of Melbourne’s new chief digital officer Michelle Fitzgerald.

Ms Motto is also a councillor of the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council, director of the Australian Construction Industry Forum, and sits on the NSW State Advisory Council for the Committee for Economic Development of Australia.

“Megan’s achievements and profile within the third sector and within the wider business community will further add to our capability in serving the needs of the Australian community today and well into the future,” Standards Australia chair Richard Brooks said.

Ms Fitzgerald joined City of Melbourne as the inaugural chief digital officer this month, heading up its Smart City Office, designed to attract tech and biotech start-ups. This follows close to 12 years as a partner with PwC, focusing on digital, data and customer consulting.

“Michelle’s background as a partner with PwC and current role as the chief digital officer for the City of Melbourne adds great depth to our skill set,” Mr Brooks said.
