Global design and consultancy firm Arcadis has appointed Louisa Carter city executive for South East Queensland, a position that will lead teams on multidisciplinary and urban regeneration projects.
Ms Carter is a public infrastructure architect and urban planner who has 20 years’ experience in architecture, urban design, urban planning, transport planning and cultural heritage, and is soon expected to receive a PhD in urban planning from the University of Queensland.
Prior to her position with Arcadis, Ms Carter was associate director of management and planning Queensland with EMM Consulting, and also spent 10 years as an architect and urban planner with GHD.
“Louisa is a highly skilled and experienced leader who will add enormous value to our business,” Arcadis client and corporate development director Stephen Uhr said. “Having worked across architecture, urban design and transport planning, Louisa has both the knowledge of a generalist and a technician that will help drive our strategic growth in Queensland.”
