Lendlease general manager for sustainability Anita Mitchell has been appointed the new head of sustainability for Lendlease Europe.
Ms Mitchell took up the new role, based in the UK, this month.
She most recently worked on the Lendlease Barangaroo South development for six years and led the delivery of sustainability initiatives. The project is aiming to be carbon neutral, water positive and generate zero waste.
A statement from Lendlease said Ms Mitchell had been “instrumental in ensuring that Barangaroo South delivered world’s best practice in environmental and social sustainability outcomes for the project”.
The news follows an announcement that Mirvac head of cities and urban renewal David Rolls would head back to Lendlease as national development director, property. It’s also understood Jonathan Emery is heading back to the UK in a few months after a few years in the LL office in Sydney.
