Katharine Tapley has been appointed head of sustainable finance solutions, loans and specialised finance at ANZ.
Ms Tapley has been with ANZ since 2001, taking on a range of positions in the markets and specialised finance businesses. She has been a senior member of the sustainable finance solutions team since its formation in 2014, and has been acting head since June 2016.
She is a board member of the Carbon Market Institute, advisory panel member for the Australia-Indonesia Centre’s Urban Water Cluster research project and alumni of the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership.
“Since joining the SFS team, Katharine has made a strong contribution with her depth of knowledge across various sustainable asset classes and her extensive transactional experience,” managing director loans & specialised finance Christina Tonkin said.
“These attributes have enabled Katharine to be instrumental in a number of innovative business development initiatives including developing ANZ’s green bond capability following our own issuance last year, executing ANZ’s first consumer finance facilities for rooftop solar and batteries, and implementing a key partnership in the water sector with the Australian Water Association.”
