Perth building technology company IBMS is setting up in Melbourne, with one of the company’s founders, Vince Simpson, relocating to the Victorian capital to lead the management and expansion.

The move into the Melbourne market has occurred due to an increased demand for IBMS’s services. The consultancy and service delivery organisation implements building systems to cut energy costs in new and existing buildings, as well as over entire precincts.

It services a range of sectors – including commercial, education, health, defence, entertainment, public facilities and pharmaceutical – and works across the lifecycle from concept through to design and construction, occupancy and tuning, and recommissioning and retuning.

It has been in business for 13 years, with a staff of 30 in offices in Perth and Sydney.

Mr Simpson has over 30 years’ experience in building management, control and automation.

A statement from IBMS said it was excited to be working closer with existing and future clients in Victoria.
