General manager at Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce Gunther Jurkschat has been appointed chair of carbon offsets company Greenfleet.
“We are delighted that Gunther Jurkschat has assumed the reins at Greenfleet,” Greenfleet chief executive Wayne Wescott said. “After five years as a director on Greenfleet’s board, Gunther has a deep understanding of our organisation and our mission.”
Mr Jurkschat said relying on governments and politicians to solve environmental problems was not good enough.
“Greenfleet presents a mechanism for both corporations and individuals to make a difference and take responsibility for their carbon emissions – and to improve biodiversity, address land degradation and grow our nation’s ‘green’ infrastructure,” he said.
