Geoff Dutaillis has left Lendlease after heading up the sustainability team for four years as group head sustainability.

Replacing him is Brian Long who has been appointed new group head of sustainability and safety. Mr Long will also assume responsibility for the Lendlease Foundation.

A statement from the company said Mr Long joined Bovis Lend Lease in Spain in 2000 and since then has held a range of roles with the company including executive general manager for the regional construction business in the UK.

“During his time at Lendlease, Geoff led the design and implementation of the Lendlease sustainability strategy and framework ensuring that Lendlease remained a leader in sustainability,” the statement said.

Mr Dutaillis told The Fifth Estate he had officially left on Friday and was taking a break before his next engagement.

  1. Another reminder that roles in ‘sustainability’ are not sustainable but subject to constant change and renewal. Time to move on beyond concept of ‘sustainability’, marketing and financial goals by implementing accountability through inclusive and systemic initiatives.
