Peak engineering body Engineers Australia has appointed Dr Bronwyn Evans as its new chief executive officer.
The electrical engineer has had an extensive career that includes CEO of Standards Australia and director of the Digital Health Cooperative Research Centre, as well as senior executive roles at Cochlear Ltd and GE Healthcare.
Dr Evans also has non-executive board experience in the construction, medical technology and digital business sectors.
She takes up her new role on 3 October.
