- High level investment from Government for reform
- Executive Officer 3 (EO3) level
Victoria’s Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) is tasked with ensuring that the State has the right conditions to enable economic growth, while delivering liveable, inclusive and sustainable communities. An organisation renowned for its leadership and positive culture, they invest heavily in their people and are proud of the diversity of the workforce.
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will enhance linkages between teams by building a shared vision and a strong understanding of how their roles relate to the broader portfolio and governmental objectives. With large government investment into this area, you will focus on the vulnerable households segment of the market and seek to reduce consumption through better education programs, increase efficiency through better building fit-outs and contribute to broader behavioural change. With the business sector being a large user of energy, you will look to lessen the energy impact of businesses and work with businesses to reduce their exposure to energy cost changes. Finally, you will engage effectively with stakeholders and build strong and positive relationships that enhance your ability to have an impact.
You have a deep knowledge of how government works and a strong understanding of how policy can be utilised to support the regulation of markets. You have a solid technical understanding of energy efficiency and a track record of program delivery. Throughout your career, you have worked in public facing roles and have excellent communication and presentation skills. You are a natural relationship builder and have a reputation for effective stakeholder management in complex environments. You bring a track record of developing high performance team cultures and enhancing the capability of your staff.
