Risen Energy, a Chinese photovoltaic panel producer, has announced it is expanding its Australian operations in a bid to get in on commercial and utility scale solar PV projects.
As part of the expansion, it has appointed Eric Lee as general manager, Risen Energy (Australia), along with new support staff.
Mr Lee is currently general manager of Risen’s German operation, and marketing director of the Risen Energy Group.
“As part of our further alignment with the Australian market’s needs, we have taken steps to bolster the range of products, services and financial instruments offered, and invested in our support functions with the allocation of senior personnel in [the] region,” Risen’s chief sales and marketing officer Bypina Veerraju Chaudary said.
“Over time, the Australian market has developed with an increasing number of commercial and utility scale installations, and we see an increased alignment with Risen’s significant wealth of experience, financial stability, investment strategies and ‘best in class’ power harvesting capability.
“In addition, the Risen Group holds other power conserving technologies, such as LED illumination solutions, which are complimentary to many of the developers and consumers alike. This portfolio of solutions can make a drastic impact on energy costs for all concerned.”
Risen said it has signalled its intent to co-invest in capital projects in Australia, provide access to its engineering, procurement, and construction division, and to offer a range of products suited to large-scale PV installations.
