City of Sydney sustainability programs leader – buildings Ben Thomas is moving on to the corporate sector after landing a gig as sustainability performance analyst at the GPT Group.
Mr Thomas managed a number of City of Sydney programs including the CitySwitch Green Office program and the Better Buildings Partnership, both of which were involved in reducing the carbon emissions of some of the city’s biggest property owners.
Prior to his current role as sustainability programs leader – buildings, picked up earlier this year, Mr Thomas spent four years as coordinator of the Better Buildings Partnership after a three-year stint as Certifications Technical Coordinator with the Green Building Council of Australia.
“Leaving the BBP and its demonstrated ability to create lasting, broad-scale change in our industry is hard, but I am excited that I will soon be able to create a deep and positive impact,” he said.
Mr Thomas will begin his role with GPT on 10 October.
