UPDATED 20 October 2016: UrbanGrowth NSW has appointed Barry Mann as head of projects portfolio, responsible for overseeing the strategy, operations and financial management of The Bays, Western Sydney and CBD portfolios.
Mr Mann brings over 30 years’ experience in government and the private sector to the role, including most recently as Director of Property and Significant Assets at the City of Parramatta Council where he was responsible for over $5 billion of urban renewal projects. He started his career in construction and moved into development of industrial, commercial, mixed use, residential and retirement living sectors for both public companies and private investment companies.
“I am very pleased to welcome Barry to UrbanGrowth NSW in this critical role which will oversee the next phase of delivery for our major projects,” UrbanGrowth NSW chief executive David Pitchford said.
UPDATE: In a separate news chief executive of NSW UrbanGrowth David Pitchford said this week he would leave the organisation in a year.
Mr Pitchford told The Australian Financial Review that UrbanGrowth had made “massive gains” in the past three years but it was time to move from a leader who was an “agent of change” to one who was an “agent of delivery”.
