The City of Sydney is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and performance oriented Sustainability Manager to manage the delivery of projects that will ensure that the City Property portfolio achieves Sustainable Sydney 2030 environmental targets.
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that the City of Sydney is a leading environmental performer. This position is responsible for building organisational capacity and capability of staff to recognise and appropriately respond to anomalies and changes in environmental data, using tools including the City’s environmental reporting and environmental management systems. To manage the corporate utilities management information system, responsible for data integrity, reporting and minor system development plus administer the Utilities contracts including electricity, gas and water.
City Property comprises 245 buildings including commercial office towers, recreational centres, depots, pools, community facilities and town halls, some of which hold heritage status.
The successful applicant will have appropriate qualifications and experience in strategic sustainability management across property portfolios.
To succeed in this high volume work environment, we are seeking a highly organised individual who is able to set priorities and meet deadlines; demonstrated experience in strategic sustainability management across property portfolios, a high level of computer literacy, experience in budget preparation, demonstrated problem solving and decision making ability.
