Arup is an independent consulting firm with sustainability at our core. We have extensive experience working with all levels of government and the private sector to address their many and varied sustainability challenges. An opportunity exists to join our dynamic Victorian Environment and Sustainability team as a Senior Environment and Sustainability Consultant.

The primary focus of the role will be to manage a range of environmental, sustainability and carbon and climate change related projects as the Project Manager.

Furthermore, you will be required to support the Victorian Environment and Sustainability Team Leader in the development of business in the fields of environmental management, sustainability and carbon and climate adaptation strategies.

Key Accountabilities

You will be required to work without supervision in managing projects or being a member of a multidisciplinary team, referring up to the Victorian Environment and Sustainability Team Leader as necessary.  In achieving this you will be responsible for meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets in your own area.

You will be required to be a key member of the Environment and Sustainability team in providing high-level consultancy services in a developing market sector, particularly within consultancy to key corporate clients.

You will be expected to have existing contacts within the field of environment, sustainability and carbon and climate change within Victoria and the ability to leverage these contacts in the development of further business.

You will be required to keep up-to-date on key initiatives in sustainability across a broad range of areas, and ensure that the team is up to date on these key issues.
