UN & Australia Sustainable Partnerships Forum
On 20 and 21 Australia, the UN Association of Australia will electronically bring together UN agencies, governments, business, community organisations and start-ups to identify new partnerships to progress the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J Mohammed will open the Forum – Australia’s major 2021 event around the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).ย DSG Mohammed led the process that resulted in global agreement around creation of the Goals and is now Chair of the UN Sustainable Development Group, which is overseeing their implementation.
The event will present sessions around partnering with the UN, at the national and city level and with young people. Breakout discussions will be held under key UN themes: Gender Equality, Justice and Human Rights, Poverty and Inequality and Climate and Planet.
A Digital SDGs Showcase will provide an opportunity for start-ups, businesses, government and community agencies to show what they are doing to progress the SDGs.
Networking during the Forum and through two informal sessions will provide opportunities for delegates to connect and form partnerships.
