Mission economy: putting public purpose and common good in the centre of creating value

World leading economist Mariana Mazzucato’s acclaimed new book, ‘Mission Economy: a moonshot guide to changing capitalism’ argues we need a rethink of capitalism and government – from their roles and relationship in driving innovation, to how economic value is created, measured and shared.

Mazzucato says we can learn from the bold vision of sending people to the moon, and a ‘mission-oriented way’ to solve the grand challenges facing humanity. Her vision rethinks policy, R&D and knowledge itself – it’s a powerful vision with the public interest firmly at its heart.

The event is finished.
