7 May 2014 — Engineering consultancy Norman Disney & Young has promoted Dean Eislers to manager – South Australia.
Mr Eislers, an electrical engineer who has been with NDY for 12 years and was awarded their Young Engineer of the Year award in 2005, was previously associate director in the Adelaide office.
NDY director George Balales, who will maintain his ongoing Adelaide responsibilities and client connections, said Mr Eislers had a strong reputation with clients.
“Dean’s ability to be involved from initial stages through to final commissioning, as both a lead electrical engineer and multi-disciplinary project coordinator, is evident in his contribution to recent projects such as the $250 million Charlestown Shopping Centre and $200 million Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios.”
Mr Eislers said he welcomed the challenges of the elevated role.
“The NDY Adelaide office is staffed by a talented group and I am very much looking forward to leading this team to capitalise on growing opportunities in South Australia,” he said.
“NDY’s involvement in a number of significant Adelaide projects such as SAHMRI and the Youth Training Centre has brought our capabilities to the fore with a number of potential clients, so there are certainly exciting opportunities ahead.”
