BRIEF: The planning code designed to address Sydney’s “missing middle” problem – the medium density housing code – has been delayed after an independent review commissioned by the NSW government, according to the SMH.

Designed to make it easier to develop terraces and other medium density housing, the code’s impact since it was introduced mid last year has been patchy because nearly 50 councils managed to defer the code until July this year.
