IN BRIEF: Solaire Properties is close to completing a subtropical passive house, with a “first of its kind” design in Australia.

The Brisbane-based property development company engaged Joe Adsett Architects to design the 380 metre square home in Auchenflower, Brisbane.

A passive certified home maintains a comfortable 23 degree Celsius temperature and clean air within the home, irrespective of the outside temperature or conditions, at a fraction of the usual energy costs.

More to come.

PLEASE NOTE: This story has been amended because it is not the first subtropical passive house, as previously stated.
