14 June 2012 – The Green Renters’ Guide has been given a facelift with the new third edition released this week to coincide with World Environment Day.

Alice Sainsbury, spokeswoman for Environment Victoria, which publishes the guide, said too often sustainability tips were aimed at home-owners.

“The fact is more than 20 per cent of Victorian homes are rentals and we don’t want people to miss out on energy and water savings or think that they can’t make environmental changes inside their home,” Ms Sainsbury said.

Tips range from ways to help a fridge work at maximum efficiency and a whole -home guide to reducing heat loss in winter.
