19 February 2013 — A trigeneration project at the Maitland City Bowls Sports and Recreation Club will, annually, save energy costs by $50,000, reduce carbon emissions by 500 tonnes, produce 752 megaWatt hours of electricity and provide 236 kW(t) of thermal output in the form of hot water. Simons Green Energy will design, supply and install a 152 kiloWatt-e natural-gas fired trigeneration system at Hunter Valley club. The system, which comprises a cogeneration unit and an absorption chiller, will reduce the club’s energy usage and carbon footprint.
