23 May 2013 — Tabe Voigt is WSP Group’s new Perth office director.
Mr Voigt joined the group in Adelaide in 2006 but over the past five years has been located in Auckland.
After a period of substantial change in the Perth office, which included WSP’s acquisition of Lincolne Scott in 2007, Mr Voigt said he aimed to shape the Perth business in much the same way as the Auckland office.
“My aspirations are primarily around organic growth and raising our profile to be fitting with the projects we work on in Perth, recent examples include Perth Arena and Raine Square,” he said.
During 2012 the office saw the appointment of senior staff members Rupert Lodge, Ben Hoy and Steven McGuigan – with further appointments set to continue.
Mr Lodge is a chartered electrical engineer and associate and head of the electrical engineering division. He has been involved with a variety of construction developments in the UK over the last 17 years.
Mr Hoy started with the Canberra office but has spent the past three years in WSP’s Honolulu office before transferring to Perth’s electrical team.
Mr McGuigan is a chartered engineer and has been appointed to lead the hydraulics and fire protection division.
