8 November 2011 – AIRAH and Standards Australia are presenting a series of seminars on the new suite of standards (AS/NZS 3666) for microbial control in air-handling and water systems in buildings.
The seminars will be presented by Clive Broadbent, chair of the committee responsible for the update to the standards. Broadbent, a leading environmental hygiene specialist, leads Legionella Control International’s specialist team in Australia and is one of the world’s foremost authorities on the control of legionella bacteria and legionnaires disease in air-handling and water systems.
AIRAH chief executive Phil Wilkinson says the seminars will provide a thorough introduction to the new standards.
“The new suite of standards represents best practice in managing the threat of legionnaires and microbial control,” Wilkinson says.
The first seminar will be held in Canberra on November 21, followed by sessions in all state capitals. Details
