12 September 2012 — A new publication, which provides a guide to planning and development law and practice in Western Australia, has been released. Planning & Development WA is edited by Denis McLeod, counsel to McLeods Barristers and Solicitors and adjunct professor at both Curtin University and the University of Western Australia. Written for lawyers, councils and planners, the service provides detailed guidance on the application of planning laws and principles. It includes: annotated and up-to-date versions of the Planning and Development Act 2005, key planning regulations and the Residential Design Codes; a comprehensive and timely reporting service for WA planning cases in the WA State Administrative Tribunal and appeal courts, a planning and development dictionary and a planning law WA Bulletin.
