16 August 2012 – The federal government this week announced an $8 million grant to fund a partnerships between research institutions and regional natural resource management organisations to help prepare for climate change and to prepare take adaptation measures.

The Parliamentary Secretary for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency Mark Dreyfus said the grant was funded by the carbon price

The Impacts and Adaptation Grants Program is part of Stream 2 of the $44 million Regional NRM Planning for Climate Change Fund – part of the Government’s Clean Energy Future package.
