15 February 2012 – Embedding sustainability into curricula, courses and teaching material is the focus of a three-day greening education event from 10 to 12  October n Karlsruhe, Germany, run by Etech, an EU initiative which promotes environmental technologies.

Sustainable development practitioners, representatives of government and international development agencies, senior members of academic institutions, school administrators and teachers, will examine how climate change, depleting natural resources, loss of biodiversity and other environmental threats are affecting the education sector.

It will debate on how to make educational institutions a part of the solution to address the evolving environmental, social and economic issues,  discuss success stories, challenges and best practices for greening education and get insights on how education is being reshaped to meet the requirements of the 21st century.
