August 16, 2012 — A City of Melbourne plan to return the former Royal Children’s Hospital site to parkland is on public exhibition until 12 September.

The plan adds to the native landscape of Royal Park and includes a nature-based play space, recreation spaces, new pathways, seating and water fountains.

Forums on the future of the parkland will also be held and there is an online forum at https://returntoroyalpark.com.au

The outcome will be used for a design brief for the parkland which will be returned to the City of Melbourne by the end of 2014.
