24 July 2014: BRIEF: Applications are now open for the second round of the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities Challenge. Any city with a population over 50,000 can apply, including regional centres.
If accepted, the city receives a range of assistance towards programs and projects which will boost the city’s ability to respond to and manage social and economic challenges and natural disasters.
Melbourne was successful in the 2013 round, however this does not preclude other Australian cities from applying to this round, which closes on September 10.
