12 March 2013 — Angela Ferguson has been appointed the managing director of futurespace.
The National Association of Women in Construction Businesswoman of the Year, Ms Ferguson has been a director and owner of futurespace since October 2009 when she merged her own practice, Ferguson Design Studio, with the company.
Ms Ferguson has been in the construction industry for the past 20 years and has a background in interior design and project coordination.
She has also tutored in design, given peer and industry talks and written extensively on design issues for the local and international architectural press.
Owner and outgoing managing director Stephen Minnett said the restructure would allow him to focus on the strategic development of workplace environments.
Mr Minnett is a registered architect, one of the founding directors of futurespace and has more than 30 years’ industry experience across a wide range of architectural and interior design projects.
futurespace is an interior design and architectural practice with offices in Sydney and Melbourne. It was founded in 2001 and has completed a wide variety of projects throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
Clients include the National Broadband Network, Fortescue Metals Group, GlaxoSmithKline, John Holland Constructions, Jones Lang LaSalle, Microsoft, SBS Television, McCann Advertising, American Express, Bristol Myers Squibb, Fox Sports, Amalgamated Holdings, Australian Institute of Management, Wotif Group, REA Group and Schneider Electric.
