14 April 2011 – Energy Conservation Systems, the company founded by the later Peter Szental in 1983 has been absorbed by Schneider Electric.

ECS national manager business development Trevor Stork said ECS was among Australia’s top contractors in the market and that it would “continue operations along its historic lines, but will leverage Schneider’s product offerings and service capabilities to enhance and support our energy efficiency business.”

“With the backing of Schneider, ECS will be able to strengthen our focus on delivering the best energy and sustainability solutions for our customers across Australia.” Mr Stork said.

“Over the next several months, the Energy Conservation Systems name will be transitioned over to Schneider Electric and we will be working with our customers to convert our existing contracts over to Schneider Electric without impacting on the services we provide. We will also be moving our business locations into existing Schneider Electric sites over the next few months.”
