10 July 2013 — The City of Melbourne is ramping up its sustainability objectives with two team leader jobs on offer.
The first is for a sustainable council team leader with a salary of $106,837 plus 9.25 per cent superannuation.
It’s full-time to June 2016 and a new role that will lead a small team who will have the responsibility for developing and delivering services required for City of Melbourne to become a world leading sustainable organisation.
The right person will have demonstrated people leadership experience, a passion for strategic thinking and love breaking new ground, exceptional creative problem solving and stakeholder engagement skills and demonstrated experience in leading organisation change processes.
The City is also after a sustainability strategies team leader, also with a salary of $106,837 plus 9.25 per cent super – and full-time until June 2016.
The new role will lead a small team who will be responsible for developing, planning and maintaining world leading sustainability strategies that deliver on the Council’s Eco-City Goals.
It will determine the research program required to understand the opportunities and barriers for achieving the Eco-City Goals and associated targets – zero net emissions, integrated water management, climate change adaptation, and lead the development of new services to respond to these opportunities and barriers.
This position will also lead the advocacy to key stakeholders required to take action to enable the city to achieve its goals. It will also lead the development of a framework for measuring and reporting progress against the targets.
