Cathering Bremner at a 2011 Australian Property Institute/Property Funds Association event

10 September 2012 – Catherine Bremner has been appointed global head of environmental sustainability with ANZ Bank, filling a position left by Gabrielle Kuiper, who joined the Prime Minister’s department as an adviser in June.

Ms Bremner was formerly chief operating officer with Low Carbon Australia, appointed in April 2010. Previously she was head of The Carbon Trust, head of business Development with Ecos Corporation and business analyst for  McKinsey and Co.

At The Carbon Trust, Ms Bremner led Chinese Government and UK negotiations to develop low carbon technologies in China.  She is also an advisor to governments, the Expert Group on Technology Transfer from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the World Economic Forum and the United Nations Environment Programme Sustainable Energy Finance Initiative Alliance.
