Canada Bay in $1.4 million grant for energy efficiency

9 August 2012 – The Federal Government has funded a $1.4 million energy efficiency program for Canada Bay Council in Sydney under the national Community Energy Efficiency Program.

“The co-investment between the Federal Government and City of Canada Bay will improve energy efficiency at the Five Dock Leisure Centre, the Wests Tigers’ Concord Oval, Canada Bay Council’s Civic Centre and Council Depot,” Parliamentary Secretary for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency Mark Dreyfus said.

Estimated savings for the Five Dock Leisure Centre upgrade alone are $28,000 a year.
