22 May 2012 – PB Human Capital has appointed Ben Cartland to assist in its corporate consulting in the areas of sustainability, corporate responsibility, renewable energy and carbon management.
Mr Cartland has been involved in sustainability projects in Europe, the USA, Africa, Asia. His previous position in the US was with Acre. He was previously national sustainability consultant with Judd Farris Recruitment and with Acre Resources in the US.
PB Human Capital director Warwick Peel said there was significant interest from large corporates in both environmental and social sustainability. Some of the social focus came from a “push down” from governments in terms of policy with issues such as wind farms and other energy issues that he said were particularly challenging.
“Community engagement is increasing just through the challenges. There is a need to reconnect with community in order to get approvals through,” Mr Peel said.
